Dominique Fisher B.A.(Hons)

Managing Director

Dominique has more than 20 years’ experience in senior management positions in the telecommunications and information technology industries. After being heavily involved in the introduction of satellite telecommunications to Australia, Dominique successfully established herself in the media and publishing industry, with a particular focus upon electronic publishing. Dominique was personally responsible for the establishment of one of Australia’s first on-line trading communities, for the Australian food and food services industries, long before the term “e-commerce” became widely used. Dominique has also held directorships in public companies, private companies, and charitable bodies.

In May 2005 Dominique was appointed as a Member of a Federal ICT Advisory Board. The 9 member Board was established to provide strategic advice to the Australian Government on key issues affecting the development of the ICT sector in Australia.

Dominique applies her widespread industry experience, considerable deal-making skills, and her extensive network of relationships to structure, negotiate, and execute transactions on behalf of the clients of EC Strategies.

Hon. Alan Stockdale

Perhaps best known as Treasurer and Minister for IT and Multimedia in the Kennett Government between 1992 and 1999, Alan has extensive business experience, is an experienced company Director and has experience with a very wide range of private sector industries and in government.

Alan was a Member of the Victorian Parliament, representing the seat of Brighton, from 1985 to 1999. As Treasurer, Alan was shareholder Minister for all Victorian GBEs and responsible for introducing corporate governance requirements, modern business practices and performance monitoring and improvement to the Victorian public sector. He was also responsible for the Government’s $32 billion privatisation program.

Alan is currently Chairman of ASX-listed Senetas Corporation Limited, a company that started life in venture capital and is now a world-leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of encryption technologies. Alan is also Chairman of the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund, of which, virtually all of Australia’s major medical research institutes are members, and a Director of the New South Wales Government’s NSW Treasury Corporation. TCorp manages all NSW public sector debt and a portfolio of public sector assets as well as advising NSW Government agencies. He is also currently Federal President of the Liberal Party.

Previously, Alan was Chairman of ASX-listed chemical and soap manufacturer, Symex Holdings Limited; Chairman of US-registered and ASX-listed producer of high-speed drug discovery technologies, Axon Instruments Inc. and Chairman of The Financial and Energy Exchange Limited. He was also Chairman of free-market think-tank, the Institute of Public Affairs for six years. Until recently he was a Director of Mariner Financial Limited.

Alan was a senior executive with Macquarie Bank for six years working on major infrastructure deals, including co-leading the Macquarie group that successfully bid for Sydney airport. He has also worked as a workplace relations advocate and adviser, National IR and Personnel Manager for Leighton Contractors and, for twelve years, practised as a barrister and a partner in a law firm. He has extensive experience working with governments, government agencies, small businesses and some of Australia’s largest companies.

Alan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Nicole has extensive operational experience at small to medium business level, with particular focus on policy and process improvement, financial management, Board and Shareholder Administration and Human Resource Management.  Nicole has particular interest in the set-up and transitional phases of business.

Nicole consults to a number of businesses providing Consulting & Company Secretarial services while raising a young family.
